symplr Provider security

Security in symplr Provider may be set at the entity, form, or field level. These multiple security levels allow you to control the type of user group access from the entity level down to individual fields on a form.

In order to apply security, a file must first be made available to an entity. This is known as file activation. Once entity-level security is set, user group access can be managed for files and form fields. The following two system forms are used for managing security:

  • Files - Master Setup allows you to activate symplr Provider file types (such as a form, query, document, reference list, and so on) for the active entity. You can also set the auditing status.
  • Entities - Master Setup allows you to manage user group access to symplr Provider file types, and apply field-level access to forms.
